The Faces Behind the Work

Our Story

Norton Yachts History

Norton Yachts began in 1948 by Ed Norton who started building boats on Broad Creek. In 1961, Billy Norton, Ed’s son, took over. Billy had a daughter named, Carolyn, who grew up watching her father run the boatyard in the little town of Deltaville, VA. Carolyn & her husband, Ken had a passion for the water and sailing, and in 1995, they took the helm of the business.

In 2018, the Webres purchased the business from Carolyn and Ken and continue to keep the business firmly anchored in the traditions the Norton family instilled for three generations. Kendall and Anton can be found most days running around the yard with their two little boys, Neil and Oliver.
